CIA and Pentagon on Trial Over COVID Crimes
A federal case over the military’s 2021 COVID vaccine mandate returns to court Friday, October 30, with attorney Ivan Raiklin arguing that the fight over his defamation suit is really about who is accountable for forcing the shot on U.S. troops — from the Trump White House’s Operation Warp Speed through the Biden Pentagon and into the CIA. At the center of the case: sworn testimony that a U.S. Army doctor is reviewing roughly 55,000 military-linked vaccine-injury reports, including 2,544 reported deaths, with firsthand knowledge tying at least 29 of them directly to the shot.
The case: Dr. Terry Adirim signed the September 2021 memo, as acting head of Pentagon health affairs, directing that the unlicensed EUA Pfizer shot be treated as interchangeable with the licensed version for the military-wide mandate — an order issued the previous month by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. Adirim left the Pentagon in December 2021. Three years later, in December 2024, the CIA recruited and hired her to direct its Center for Global Health Services. She was fired four months into the job, in April 2025, and sued the CIA, its director, and Raiklin. The October hearing, before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, takes up motions for summary judgment and to exclude evidence.
The death-toll evidence: Lt. Col. Theresa Long, an Army flight surgeon now serving as senior medical military adviser to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and reporting to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, has told the court in sworn materials that she is reviewing approximately 55,000 military-linked VAERS reports, including 2,544 death reports, and has firsthand knowledge of more than 29 service-member deaths following COVID-19 vaccination.
The separation numbers: The Pentagon’s published count of troops involuntarily separated for refusing the vaccine is approximately 8,700; it has not published how many left the service rather than comply. Rep. Andy Harris has said tens of thousands left early, with another 20,000 retiring early. The Defense Department separately reported vaccines administered to more than 2 million service members — 96 percent of the force — meaning those 2 million complied with an order the current Department has since described as unlawfully implemented.
The Warp Speed dimension: Operation Warp Speed was launched in May 2020 under White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, with the Pentagon and HHS as operating partners — the machinery that produced the vaccine the mandate later required troops to take.
The Biden administration picked it up: The mandate itself, and the memo enforcing it, was ordered by Austin and signed by Adirim under President Biden, not carried over directly from Warp Speed. Her CIA hire also happened under Biden, in the final weeks of his term.
The accountability action: Raiklin publishes a “Deep State Target List” naming people he accuses of treason; Adirim was on it. Her lawsuit alleges someone inside the CIA leaked her hiring to him within days of her start date, and that his public campaign — including on-air statements he’s since had to defend as true in this suit — pressured the agency into firing her.
Case status: The CIA and its director were dismissed as defendants in February 2026. What remains is a defamation claim against Raiklin alone, with a jury trial set for January 2027 if it proceeds — meaning the October hearing is where Raiklin will argue, in his own defense, that his allegations are accurate.
